Meet Kathy:  Kathy Cullen-Cote is the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources at PTC, a global leader in IoT technology platforms and solutions. During her 15 years at PTC, she has led the organization through significant growth and transformation. PTC, headquartered in Needham, MA, was recently recognized by Indeed.com as one of the best places to work in the tech industry. Kathy also serves as a board member of the Massachusetts Workforce Development Board and their Youth Committee. Prior to coming to PTC, Kathy worked for Imark Communications, Johnson & Johnson, and Raytheon. Her passion for helping every employee reach their full potential and belief that every individual can make a difference has served as a model of the culture of curiosity, innovation, and growth that PTC has fostered.

What attracted you to the WOW Women Network?  

Nettie. She is exemplar at building and maintaining relationships. Her skill with networking is a role model for others and one we can all learn from.

How do you ignite relationships and build connections?

I love sharing what I know and helping others whenever possible. Additionally – I believe everything gets better when you collaborate and share thoughts and ideas with others. I am learning every day from those around me.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Why?

A Mom. I am grateful to say I was blessed to have become one three times.

So, what was your first job?            

I was a home-health aide for an elderly woman.

If we asked your best friend to describe you, what are three words she would use?

This is hard, I hope these would resonate with them – happy, trustworthy, empathetic

Beach

And, one last question.  What are you most passionate about? 

Love. Love of family, love of friends, love of others, love of faith, love of life, love of job, love of the journey.

Colleen Simonelli: PTC VP of Org Dev and HR Delivery for Asia

Meet Colleen:  Colleen Simonelli is the Vice President of Organizational Development and Human Resources Delivery for Asia at PTC. In her role, she is responsible for global talent and culture initiatives and serves as a strategic partner to the business. During her 5 years at PTC, she developed a three-tiered leadership development program, implemented a formal talent review and talent planning process, and most recently led the culture change initiative to align with the company’s strategic transformation. Prior to coming to PTC, Colleen worked in both Talent Management and Business Partner roles at Sunovion, KPMG, and GTE.

What attracted you to the WOW Women Network?

I participate in the WOW Women Network in order to meet other women in the Boston area.  Nettie has great passion and energy that is contagious.  She brings great ideas and I appreciate the women she brings into her circle.

How do you ignite relationships and build connections?

By listening and learning from others and being as authentic as I can be at all times.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Why?

My earliest memory is wanting to be a veterinarian simply because I love animals.

So, what was your first job?            

It would have to be delivering the newspaper, babysitting, and then Dunkin Donuts.

If we asked your best friend to describe you, what are three words she would use?

I asked and she said positive, selfless and caring.

Mountains, beach, or city?

We have a home in South Yarmouth, MA that we enjoy immensely so I must say the beach.

And, one last question.  What are you most passionate about? 

I love bringing people together to explore their development through sharing with each other and exploring topics that are important to them.
